2020 has been an interesting year for events to say the least. Have we all been heavily impacted by COVID-19? Absolutely. Unfortunately, this took an even heavier toll on many high school seniors. It impacted their graduations and other end of high school transitions, but it also impacted memorable events like homecoming, LPA, and above both of those; prom. Our heart was broken for our local seniors and the way that they were being robbed of these events that would encourage them, create memories, and launch them into their next season of life. This is part of the reason that we sprung into action as quickly as we did to equip the barn with every safety precaution we knew of to make meeting in the midst of a pandemic safe.
With snacks being displayed and masks / social distancing being HEAVILY recommended, a group of mothers came together to make the Logan Rogersville prom, which was previously cancelled due to COVID, a success for many graduating seniors. We are confident that the environment was safe for students as they utilized the air flow between large open barn doors, fire pit, and more bench seating than they knew how to use under our gazebo.
We don’t bring this up to recommend that all proms (if cancelled) need to be taken into the hands of area mothers, even though they are to be commended, but we want area schools, students, and administration to know that we are equipped and ready to provide a safe social environment for all students and their upcoming 2021 prom season. Let us help you open doors to safe possibilities as area seniors write final pages in their high school story books.
